Trail Report      Photos

Believe it or not, there is still a bunch of snow on the ground in The Forks area!  Folks that came up last weekend said it was the best riding of the season with freezing temperatures at night for the trails to set up nicely from grooming and gorgeous sunny days.  Trails do tend to get a bit soft in the afternoon and it is important to watch out for animals on the trail (many, many sightings) but join us for a final weekend of winter fun!  Check out the trail report below.

Thanks for a great season and we will see you all soon,

THE FORKS TRAIL REPORT 4/2/08

Still 2 to 3 feet of snow on the ground .... more in some areas. Received just a little rain on Tuesday. Temperatures have dropped back down well below freezing, resulting in a very hard base and some icy spots. All 65 miles of The Forks Trail System will be groomed before the weekend. Groomers will probably be going out during the day on Thursday and Friday when the trails soften up a bit, and the blades can do their work. No major problems reported at the moment, but ride with caution as the warmer daytime temperatures can open up water problems in a hurry.

Great on and off trail riding right now. With the big snow pack there should be good off trail riding for another couple of weeks, but this will probably be the last week of grooming operations for the season. Looks like a decent weekend coming up weather wise, so get out while you can!
